Notes in Motion is excited to be bringing a community workshop program in April 2010 for the fourth consecutive year to McGraw Hill Publishing Company for their "Bring your Sons and Daughters to Work Day."
PS 78 Anne Hutchinson School, Bronx Now in our third year of partnership with PS 78, we are excited by the tremendous growth of the students and the energy towards our program. We just received our second grant from the Bronx Council on the Arts in support of this arts partnership!

PS 63 Manhattan We are now in our second year of partnership with PS 63. In March, we presented a community workshop and performance program for parents and children at PS 63 in partnership with University Settlement. This past fall, Teaching Artist Jules Skloot taught her second 10-session residency for third graders entitled Thinking Like a Dancer. By the end of the year, we plan to reach out to all of the students in this small East Village School.

Academy for Young Writers, Brooklyn Last year, Teaching Artist Carlita V. Ector taught dance technique and choreography skills all-year-long to the after-school dance team. This was our second year working with this new high school in Williamsburg.

Bronx Charter School for the Arts Last Spring, Teaching Artist Shira Pelleg taught a ten session dance residency for the fourth grade entitled Declare your Dance. Working in collaboration with Social Studies teachers, the residency curriculum used the themes of The Declaration of Independence as a springboard for creating original dances. This residency marked our third year of partnership with Bronx Arts.

Earth Celebrations Performance Pier 40, Hudson River Saturday, May 22, 2010 (raindate: Sunday, May 23)
Earth Celebrations, a non-profit ecological arts organization, launches 2nd annual Earth Celebrations' Hudson River Pageant: to restore the Hudson River and address climate change in New York City.
Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatrre will perform at Pier 40 on the Hudson River using the pier, ramp, and floating dock. The performance will begin at 2:45 p.m. Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre will preview the performance at ACA Galleries in Chelsea at Earth Celebrations' Benefit Party on Friday, April 23rd at 8:30 p.m.
